DON’T LET ANYONE LOOK DOWN ON YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE YOUNG – OR OLD

Don’t believe the lie of the deceiver who whispers: “Well, since you can’t do anything about your age, let’s forget it. Come on, I have some ideas about partying….”

God’s Truth: 1 Timothy 4:12

Prayer: Lord, if I stop and think about it, I realize Your love for us has nothing to do with our age. You care about the condition of our heart toward You, Lord. When I stop to think about this Scripture, I think about the fact that people are discriminated not only for how young they are, but also for how old they are. Help me, Lord, to love others as You have loved me – not caring about my age, but caring that I choose to follow Your commandments, Lord. Thank You, wondrous Lord.

Journal Questions:

1) Will I care about the age of the person I am talking to today?

2) How will I show the person I am talking to that I care more about a relationship with You, Lord, than anything else?

Reread: 1 Timothy 4:12

Action Accountability:

1) The most important consideration in talking to someone today will be:__________

2) With the help of Your Holy Spirit, Lord, my speech when I am talking to ___________will be a witness for You.

Closing Prayer: What a beautiful way You listen to me, Lord. Help me, Lord, to listen to You, to know what You are telling me to do, and honor You with my prayers, and my thanksgiving – and my actions. “My Hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness”.

Possible Activity for the day: play a game of your youth (appropriately, of course – or not)

Possible Attitude for the day: No matter what our age, we are called to set an example in speech, in life, in faith, and in purity. So????
