HAVE YOU LOOKED INTO THE MIRROR LATELY?

Don’t believe the lie of the deceiver who whispers: “I thought that was supposed to be an indication of vanity.”

God’s Truth: James 1: 23-25

Prayer: Yes, Lord, I have looked into the mirror. And I have asked myself “What do you see?” But I guess, I have not looked into the mirror and asked myself “What does God see when He looks at me. He does not need a mirror. He looks at me and sees all that I am – and knows at any given moment how much I reflect Him. Help me, Lord, to live this day ‘reflecting’ You to the world.

Journal Questions:

1) How much of my waking hours do I spend ‘living’ the image I say I reflect?

2) How will my actions demonstrate “the perfect law that gives freedom”?

Reread: 1 James 1: 23-25

Action Accountability:

1) With the Help of Your Holy Spirit, Lord, I will ‘go out’ from my time with You, Lord, and _________this day.

2) It will be obvious to others this day that I am a doer of The Word by the way I ________.

Closing Prayer: Lord, You know I do not want to be the person who stands in front of the mirror and then leaves and forgets everything he saw in the mirror. I want to be the person who looks into The PerfectWord and does not forget what he sees, but goes goes out to do it. Help, Lord, my faltering steps.

Possible Activity for the day: exercise with your hula hoop

Possible Attitude for the day: I choose not only to hear The Word but to do it.
