God’s Word: Matthew 6: 24
Prayer: Lord, I know You want me to serve You and You alone. You know that what I say and what I do sometimes are two different things. Thank You, Lord, for Your Word which pictures with perfect clarity what happens if a person tries to serve two masters.

Closing Prayer: Lord, I am telling You that I am here to serve You. I want no other ‘masters’ before me. Help me, Lord, to be of one mind and One Spirit in my service to You this day.
Possible Activity for the day: create a new salad with ingredients you know you like but have never put together before
Possible Attitude for the day: I know I cannot serve two masters. Either I will hate the one and love the other, or I will be devoted to one and despise the other.
