Don’t believe the lie of the deceiver who whispers: “Who do you know who is really going to advocate for you? You better start advocating for yourself.”
God’s Truth: Job 16: 19
Prayer: When I think about Job, Lord, I always think about a person who went through an awful lot – and still came out the other side trusting You. In comparison, I have practically no ‘troubles’ at all, Lord. Help me, Lord, to address You as Job did and say, “Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high.” I honor You, Lord, and desire to have the ‘right’ thinking to give You first place in my day – and my life.
Journal Questions:
1) Will I trust my Lord to ‘take charge’ of my day?
2) What will that look like?
Reread: Job 16: 19
Action Accountability:
1) The Lord being my Advocate, I will trust the Lord to be _________in my life today.
2) I refuse to have a pity party, Lord. Instead I will ___________today.
Closing Prayer: You are not only my Advocate, Lord, You are my Comforter, my Counselor, my strong Deliverer, my Sure Foundation. I am sure of this, Lord. No one else can ‘fill the bill’. I praise Your Name with my worship and thanksgiving.
Possible Activity for the day: it’s never to late to pursue your dream
Possible Attitude for the day: I need no other Advocate then Jesus Christ, my Lord.
